This place is very expensive for veterinary care and for boarding. Also, other than common antibiotics, they never have prescriptions available the same day and they refer you to their online pharmacy to order them yourself, which is inconvenient. I don't want to play pharmacist, I want the vet to order the prescriptions my dog needs. Two stars because they are open 24 hours and seem to always answer the phone.
If i had the option, I would've given them zero stars. I brought my dog Charlie in with a seizure disorder and on the verge of death. It was clear to me he'd probably die and I was preparing myself for that. The vet said that they thought they could easily save them. Well 4 days later and $5000 later, they had out my baby in pain for four days longer than needed and put us in $5000 more debt than needed. I will never ever recommend or take another animal to this place ever again. I hope people start realizing that money isn't as important as a life because it's clear to me that they kept him longer because of the money, not because he had any real hope
Took my cat here a year ago, she was almost dead went to the emergency door and they got her right in... After a week of being in their care they got her back to health. Without Glenn Carborn Hawthorne heights my cat would not be here to day. I am so thankful for their service!
Do NOT take your Animal here. My poor baby Noah was out threw so much just to be let down. They told my brother and I that we need to pay over a 1000 to get IVS and a couple tests ran, when my poor baby was obviously dying.. when they saw my brother and I could only round up so much money at that very moment they said they would give my dog a USED bag of IV drip. Took him to the back and didn’t let us say goodnight to our baby. They told us to come back in the morning with MORE Money and that he would be fine to not worry.. few hours go by and I’m worrying like crazy another doctor calls and tells me what’s really wrong with my Noah and says we have to put him to sleep. Or at the cost of more money they could try to give him surgery... WHO DOES THAT TO A FAMILY.
When i was a child my parents took our animals here, i never knew why they took them to suck a big veterinarian..A week ago I learned when my baby nahla passed away. I was so stressed about the cremation cost and did not want to bury her in my backyard. I didnt have too. I called and a kind hearted woman took her time to explain to me how all this worked. They have a program where they give you your pets paw print on a piece of clay..that was the most important thing to me...however i also learned that the cremation was extremly affordable. Everything under $200 and they even gabe me a beautiful stained box urn, when i got my baby back. A few days after taking her i recieved a card from the hospital with the staffs handwrittwn signature...meant more than you ever know. They help you feel not alone and are very helpful in hard time with your furry family members. Much love hawthorne!!
